Part 2. How to Evolve Eevee in Pokémon Go

It is important to note that for each evolution, you will need Eevee to evolve and 25 Eevee candies. You can earn Eevee candies by capturing Eevee, walking with an Eevee or when you transfer Eevee to the professor.

Evolving Eevee into Vaporeon in Pokémon Go

Vaporeon is the water evolution of the Eevee and #134 in the Pokedex. It is string against the rock and ground Pokémon such as Graveler. You can catch in the wild in very rare occasions or you can get Vaporeon by evolving an Eevee using 25 candies.

Using your candies to evolve an Eevee can also just as easily get you a Jolteon or a Flareon. If you would like to guarantee a Vaporeon, rename your Eevee “Ranier” before you begin.

Evolving Eevee into Jolteon in Pokémon Go

135 in the Pokedex, Jolteon is the lightning evolution of Eevee. It evolves in much the same way as Vaporeon does. Using your 25 Eevee candies will give you a one in three chance of evolving Jolteon. To guarantee a Jolteon evolution, rename the Eevee “Sparky”. You can also catch Jolteon in the wild, but in very rare cases.

Evolving Eevee into Flareon in Pokémon Go

Flareon is the #136 Pokémon and it is the fire Eevee evolution, making it the ideal Pokémon to have when battling grass and bug Pokémon.

Flareon can also be caught in the wild, although you may have to wait a very long time to find it, since it is super rare. But you can use 25 Eevee candies to get a much better one in three chance of evolving a Flareon. To guarantee the evolution, we recommend renaming the Eevee “Pyro” before evolving.

Evolving Eevee into Espeon in Pokémon Go

Espeon is a psychic type, making it the ideal Pokémon to have when battling poison types like Grimer. #196 in the Pokedex, you can increase your chances of getting Espeon by changing the Eevee’s name to “Sakura” and using 125 Eevee candies.

You can also walk with it as your buddy for at least 10km during the daytime to evolve it. It is however worth noting that all players will at some point in the game be asked to evolve Eevee as Espeon. So, you may want to save your precious candies and wait for the specific quest.

Evolving Eevee into Umbreon in Pokémon Go

Umbreon is the second Eevee evolution from Johto. It is #197 in the Pokedex and a dark type, primarily useful when battling psychic and ghost Pokémon. The fastest way to evolve Umbreon is to rename the Eevee to “Tamao”.

But much like Espeon, at some point in the game you will get “A Ripple in Time” quest that gives you Umbreon upon completion. You will be asked to walk at least 10km with the Eevee to evolve it with 25 candies. But unlike Espeon, you will need to evolve the Eevee at night to get Umbreon.

Evolving Eevee int Leafeon in Pokémon Go

470 in the Pokedex, Leafeon is the first Eevee evolution from the Sinnoh region. It is a grass type, ideal for battles against rock and ground or even water Pokémon like Poliwag.

To evolve Leafeon, just rename the Eevee to “Linnea” and then use 25 candies. You can also buy a Mossy Lure Module from the Pokémon Go Store for 200 coins and place it in a Poke Stop.

Evolving Eevee into Glaceon in Pokémon Go

Glaceon is the second Eevee evolution from the Sinnoh region and #471 in the Pokedex. As the name suggests, it is an ice type, ideal for battles with grass, ground and dragon type as well as flying Pokémon like Spearow.

To evolve Glaceon, you just need to rename the Eevee “Rea” and use 25 candies. You can also place a special lure module such as the Glacial Lure Module in a Pokestop.
