To protect your device, Google uses the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) feature. It is a security feature that comes in handy when your device is lost or stolen. But if you forget your Google account username and password, it can keep you locked out of your device.
The FRP feature will also kick in as soon as you reset the device and you need to set it up. But what if you don’t know your Google account password? This post will show you how to bypass the Google account verification after resetting the device.
Part 1. What is Google Account Verification and How It Works?
When you set up your Android device using a Google account, the Factory Reset Protection (FRP) feature is enabled by default. The FRP is there to prevent someone from accessing the data on the device when you factory reset the device unless they know your Google Account and password. Therefore, if your device is stolen, the person who gets the device will not access the data on the device.
But sometimes, you may reset your Android device, but you can’t remember the password. In this case, the FRP becomes a nuisance that you must bypass. The following solutions will help you do that.
Part 2. How to Bypass Google Account Verification after Reset
